The original Walkman. The first commercially available portable cassette player on the market. Debuted in 1979. This device revolutionized music allowing portable play for the first time ever. The first edition featured two headphone jacks so as to be less anti social. Additional features include: operation light, hot line, voice recording with microphone built in, Stop/Eject, Play, Fast Forward, Rewind, two separate volume controls, tone control, DC IN (3V) jack.
Up for bid is an original drawing from a stellar example of the original model in perfect working order by artist, Erik Dalzen. India ink on Strathmore acid free 70lb. drawing paper. The drawing measures 7x8.5 inches. Unique. Signed and dated on the back.
